When you register your phone with Fortress, we will ask for your IMEI number. This is a 15 digit long number that is unique to your phone. It helps us identify which phone you have and is an essential part of insuring it against loss and theft.
There are several ways of finding this number. Some methods allow you to copy and paste the number, but others do not. It is best to grab a pen and paper and carefully write it down somewhere safe. It is essential to get it right, as this will be used if you ever need to make a claim.
Method 1: Using your phone dialer.
- Open your phone dialer, just as if you were making a phone call.
- Type *#06#

- A screen will appear that shows your IMEI number(s) and Serial Number.
- You can touch and hold the number if you wish, and choose Copy to copy it to the Clipboard. Be careful to only choose the number, and not the "IMEI1:" part of the line.
- You can then paste the number into the Fortress registration page.
Method 2: Find it in Settings.
- Open Settings.
- Choose About Phone.
- Scroll down the page, and you will see IMEI and the number.

- You cannot copy this number to your clipboard, so you will need to carefully write it down.
Method 3: Find it in Google Dashboard
- Open up Google Dashboard from https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard
- Locate the Android icon
under Your Google Services. - Choose Find Your Devices.
- At the top left of the screen you should see your Android device.
- Click the
icon and your device information will be shown, including your IMEI number - You can copy this number and paste it into the Fortress registration page, or write it down to type in later.
Method 4: It is Probably On The Box!
- Find the box your phone came in.
- Look around for a sticker with a series of barcodes.
- One of the barcodes will be labeled IMEI.
- Type this number into the Fortress registration page.
What if you have 2 IMEI Numbers?
Do not worry, some phones have more than one IMEI number because they can have more than one SIM card. It’s actually quite common on phones. If you see more than one number, just choose the first one and enter that into the Fortress registration page.
